On Thursday, health officials in Poland logged 974 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 2.9 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 91.7% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 14, bringing the total number of fatalities to 75,537.
Globally, over 230 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 207 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.7 million worldwide.
According to health officials in Ontario, in addition to the 6 Covid-related fatalities reported on September 23, one death occurred more than one month ago.
