Carpentieri in sciopero, edilizia bloccata
TORONTO – I progetti di costruzione industriali e gli immobili commerciali subiranno ritardi nel completamento dei lavori a causa dello sciopero di 15 mila falegnami aderenti al Carpenters District Council of Ontario. Dopo aver respinto in modo schiacciante l’ultima offerta dei loro datori di lavoro nel settore industriale, commerciale e istituzionale (ICI), ieri questi operai, hanno incrociato le braccia. A darne conferma è il presidente del sindacato Mike Yorke. “È importante che i nostri membri siano riconosciuti per i loro contributi e le loro capacità – ha detto al Corriere Yorke – negli ultimi 2 anni e mezzo di pandemia, i nostri membri hanno creato prosperità mettendo a rischio la loro salute e quella delle loro famiglie”…

Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 32.9 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on May 9, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 6,019 vaccine doses on Sunday, down from 16,249 doses the day prior.
No deaths in Ontario, decreasing active cases
TORONTO – Covid-19, the number of daily deaths in Ontario finally returns to zero: in the last 24 hours, in fact, no deaths have been recorded, after the worrying escalation of recent days.
