TORONTO – Weekend to forget in Ontario: for the third consecutive day, the province has in fact recorded over 1,000 new cases of Covid-19, with the count of infections reaching the highest level since the end of May. Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign

With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 23.9 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on December 5, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 62,989 vaccine doses on Saturday, down from 80,898 doses the day prior.

On Saturday, health officials in the UK logged 42,848 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 10.4 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 88.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 124 Covid-related deaths for a total of 145,551 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
