On Saturday, India reported its lowest daily case count in more than three and a half weeks. In the last 24-hours, health officials recorded just over 310,000 new infections. After two consecutive days of less than 4,000 Covid-related deaths each day, fatalities increased by another 4,090.
Globally, over 162 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 142 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 3.3 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated any cases in the last 24-hours.
