On Monday, health officials in Russia logged 34,325 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 8.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 84.7% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 998, bringing the total number of fatalities to 224,310.
Globally, over 241 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 218 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.9 million worldwide.
