On Tuesday, health officials in Germany logged 20,955 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 4.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 93.6% are considered recovered. Authorities have reported 95,794 total fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 244 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 222 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.9 million worldwide.
Germany has not reported the number of Covid-related fatalities for October 26, 2021.
