On Tuesday, health officials in the UK logged 33,865 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 81.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 292 Covid-related deaths for a total of 140,964 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 247 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 224 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.0 million worldwide.
India has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since November 1, 2021.
