On Saturday, health officials in Germany logged 28,718 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed five million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 89.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 95 Covid-related deaths for a total of 98,145 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 251 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 229 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.0 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated the status of Covid-19 cases since November 12, 2021.
