On Sunday, health officials in Russia logged 32,602 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.8 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 86.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 1,206 Covid-related deaths for a total of 281,278 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 265 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 239 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.2 million worldwide.
