On Thursday, health officials in Russia logged 30,209 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.9 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 87.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 1,181 Covid-related deaths for a total of 286,004 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 268 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 241 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.2 million worldwide.
