On Monday, health officials in Portugal logged 10,554 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 1.4 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 84.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 10 Covid-related deaths for a total of 19,000 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 291 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 255 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.4 million worldwide.
