On Tuesday, health officials in the Philippines logged 28,007 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 92.3% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 219 Covid-related deaths for a total of 52,511 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 312 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 260 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.5 million worldwide.
