On Saturday, health officials in Mexico logged 44,293 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 4.3 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 79.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 195 Covid-related deaths for a total of 301,107 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 325 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 266 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.5 million worldwide.
