On Saturday, health officials in Russia logged 57,212 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 11.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 90.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 681 Covid-related deaths for a total of 325,433 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 348 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 277 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.5 million worldwide.
