On Monday, health officials in Ontario logged 4,790 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positiv4e cases passed 1.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 92.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 37 Covid-related deaths for a total of 11,004 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 353 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 281 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.6 million worldwide.
