On Saturday, health officials in Russia logged 179,147 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 15.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 80.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 798 Covid-related deaths for a total of 344,755 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 422 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 348 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.8 million worldwide.
