On Sunday, health officials in Mexico logged 13,459 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 86.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 331 Covid-related deaths for a total of 318,014 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 434 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 365 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.9 million worldwide.
