On Sunday, health officials in Italy logged 35,057 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 13.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 91.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 105 Covid-related deaths for a total of 155,887 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 445 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 379 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.9 million worldwide.
