On Tuesday, health officials in Germany logged 178,453 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 17.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 74.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 271 Covid-related deaths for a total of 126,516 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 460 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 394 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Spain, Portugal, the UK and the Philippines do not reflect complete data for March 15, 2022.
