On Thursday, health officials in Italy logged 81,811 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 14.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 90.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 182 Covid-related deaths for a total of 158,436 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 476 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 412 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in Bangladesh, India, Portugal and Spain do not reflect complete data for March 24, 2022.
