On Saturday, health officials in Germany logged 128,639 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 21.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 78.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 187 Covid-related deaths for a total of 130,529 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 490 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 425 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in Spain, Portugal, Bangladesh and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 2, 2022.
