On Wednesday, health officials in the Germany logged 177,659 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 22.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 79.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 272 Covid-related deaths for a total of 131,455 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 494 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 430 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Bangladesh and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 6, 2022.
