On Saturday, health officials in Canada logged 2,799 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.7 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 92.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 13 Covid-related deaths for a total of 39,243 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 512 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 467 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.2 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Spain, Portugal, Bangladesh and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 30, 2022.
