On Wednesday, health officials in Mexico logged over 13,000 new infections, numbers not seen in five months. Of the cumulative 2.6 confirmed positive cases, 78.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 341, brining the total number of fatalities to 236,810.
Globally, over 191 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 175 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.1 million worldwide.
