TORONTO – From Ottawa to Vancouver, passing through Toronto Quebec City, Regina, Fredericton. There is no end in sight to the protests organized by the so-called “Freedom Convoy” against the vaccination obligation. But patience, in the capital, is now running out. Police Chief Peter Sloly has decided that the time has come for his officers to go “on the offensive” to end this situation. “I worked continuously 18 hours a day to be able to get the necessary resources – said Sloly – now we can go on the offensive”.

On Monday, health officials in Spain logged 40,272 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 10.3 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 66.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 111 Covid-related deaths for a total of 94,570 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
TORONTO – Covid hospitalizations continue to drop in Ontario: today 2,155 patients were hospitalized with the coronavirus, compared to 2,230 on Sunday, while the number of patients in intensive care remained unchanged at 486. Deaths also decreased, today “only” 11: Sunday there were 56. Since the start of the pandemic, Ontario has recorded 11,836 related deaths from (or with) Covid-19. →
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 31.0 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on February 7, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 24,392 vaccine doses on Sunday, down from 551,747 doses the day prior.

Of the cumulative total number of cases 83.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 714 Covid-related deaths for a total of 334,753 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
