WHO: “Pandemic still here, don’t let your guard down”

TORONTO – We may be one step away from ending the pandemic but we still need to grit our teeth. The light at the end of the tunnel can be glimpsed but at this moment you can not pull the oars in the boat and let yourself go to easy enthusiasms. Covid-19 new modelling: high number of hospitalizations, the guard remains high

TORONTO – The Ontario Science Table’s latest projections – the first in 2022 – suggest that following the lifting of some restrictions this week the peak of hospitalizations may be prolonged. Predictions about what will happen in the near future use three different scenarios based on different levels of immunity acquired through infection to chart the path forward.

TORONTO – In Ontario, we are entering the most delicate phase of this long, exhausting, never-ending battle against Covid-19. Virologists and experts point out that how the exit from the third wave will lay the foundations for the developments of the pandemic.
