On Saturday, health officials in the UK logged 30,144 new infections. Of the cumulative 7.4 million confirmed positive cases, 80.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 164, bringing the total number of fatalities to 444,869.
Globally, over 227 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 205 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.6 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since September 17, 2021.
