[GTranslate]ROME – Common commitment in the fight against the pandemic and strengthening bilateral relations: these, in a nutshell, are the contents of the telephone conversation between Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, yesterday afternoon.
The two leaders of government confronted each other on several issues, starting with the Covid-19 emergency for which both of them reaffirmed the need to work in synergy, also as a function of the large Italian community that lives and works in Canada.
“The common commitment in the fight against the pandemic was discussed – we read in an official note from the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers – with particular reference to the intensification of vaccination campaigns, and for an effective, sustainable and inclusive economic and social relaunch, also in the framework of the Italian Presidency of the G20 ”. The two premieres also “hoped to further strengthen bilateral relations, also favored by the large and well-integrated Italian community in Canada”.
