On Saturday, health officials in Italy logged 38,375 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 12.7 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 89.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 210 Covid-related deaths for a total of 154,416 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 433 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 364 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.9 million worldwide.
