On Sunday, health officials in Mexico logged 20,307 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.2 million. Of the cumulative total, 78.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 847, bringing the total number of fatalities to 252,927.
Globally, over 211 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 190 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.4 million worldwide.
Spain has not updated status of Covid-19 cases since August 20, 2021.
Poland has not reported any Covid-related fatalities on August 22, 2021.
