On Tuesday, health officials in Italy logged 133,142 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 11.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 76.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 339 Covid-related deaths for a total of 146,925 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 380 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 300 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 5.6 million worldwide.
