On Thursday, health officials in Italy logged 54,230 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 13.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 91.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 136 Covid-related deaths for a total of 156,493 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 452 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 387 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, the Philippines and the UK do not reflect complete data for March 10, 2022.
