On Saturday, health officials in Germany logged 145,267 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 17.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 78.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 166 Covid-related deaths for a total of 126,077 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 455 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 389 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.0 million worldwide.
