On Friday, health officials in Greece logged 16,234 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 2.9 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 89.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 35 Covid-related deaths for a total of 27,160 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 478 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 413 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
