On Monday, health officials in Canada logged 10,895 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 94.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 31 Covid-related deaths for a total of 37,721 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 491 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 427 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Spain, Poland, Portugal and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 4, 2022.
