On Saturday, health officials in Germany logged 100,037 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 22.6 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 81.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 170 Covid-related deaths for a total of 100,037 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 497 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 437 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
