On Monday, health officials in Russia logged 9,434 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 18.0 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 96.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 213 Covid-related deaths for a total of 373,713 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 504 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 456 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.1 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Spain, Poland, Portugal and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 18, 2022.
