On Tuesday, health officials in Germany logged 45,045 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 23.5 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases 86.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 26 Covid-related deaths for a total of 133,463 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
Globally, over 505 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 457 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 6.2 million worldwide.
The status of Covid-19 cases in India, Poland, Portugal, Canada, Bangladesh and the UK do not reflect complete data for April 19, 2022.
