Over the last three days, health officials in Spain logged nearly 60,000 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 4.5 million. Of the cumulative total, 83.0% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 53, brining the total number of fatalities to 81,643.
Globally, over 198 million cases have confirmed positive for Covid-19 according to Johns Hopkins University data. Since the start of the pandemic, over 179 million people have recovered. Fatalities attributable to Covid-19 now surpass 4.2 million worldwide.
