Summer Holidays 2021 – why not in Canada?

cnmng, May 27, 2021August 25, 2023

Tourism Week in Canada takes place on May 23-30, 2021. It is a week during which the tourism industry in Canada is promoted, ranging from Canada-wide tourism, tourism in provinces, regions, cities, towns, tourism-related attractions are also promoted and opportunities to combine many activities are exposed, using the services of various service providers.

The Canadian Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), founded in 1930, is the umbrella of the entire event.

According to information provided by this association, prior to Covid, Canada’s tourism sector was worth $ 105 billion, accounted for 2% of Canada’s GDP, and employed 1.8 million people.

As there are many indications that this year’s vacation will only be possible in Canada, why should we stay at home? Why not plan your 2021 summer vacation in Canada?

During this week, on many websites and social channels, you can get to know and find out about everything you need to plan a unique holiday, in any province, a holiday of any character, a holiday you may have never spent before in your life?

TIAC has created a Canada-wide website at www.tourismcounts.ca.

This page is updated regularly during Canada Tourism Week.

At any time, you can follow the incoming information on social channels such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #TourismWeek and #TourismCounts.

Many of us may be tourists in our own city. Living in Mississauga, for example, can explore the options for the City of Mississauga.

The city recommends on its social channels and website to support its local service providers, thus supporting local tourism.

The city recommends visiting the website www.mississaugamade.ca, especially during Tourism Week. You can find there a list of all the local Made in Mississauga attractions, including hotels and motels, tourist attractions, information on local artists and musicians, shops and boutiques, bars and restaurants.

You can: book a staycation at a local hotel now or in the future, check current virtual events, buy a gift card at a local BIA or neighborhood, shop online at a local boutique or store, buy a gift card for local attractions for future use, order food at a local restaurant with delivery or pickup on site, you can even pledge to travel in Canada!

You can download a virtual badge and use it on social media as a profile picture, use it in the email footer, and thus help spread the word that #TourismCounts.

Why not use what the Tourism Week has to offer by entering #TourismWeek and #TourismCounts in the search window, for example on Facebook or Twitter?
