In Ontario 447 new infected and 4 more deaths

TORONTO – June 14, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,402,832 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 704 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 25,939 total deaths, 8 more than on Sunday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,360,469. Ontario today reached 540,130 overall positives, an increase of 447 new cases compared to Sunday. The total number of victims in Ontario has meanwhile risen to 8,961, with 4 more deaths than the previous day. The number of recovered people in the province rose to 525,795 or 670 more than the previous 24 hours. There are 139,940 cases so far registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,137 of the South African variant and 4,135 of the Brazilian variant.

today there were 497 people still in hospital, 409 of them in intensive care and 268 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing. There are 15 retirement and long-term homes that continue to record cases of Covid-19. Today there were 15,327 elderly patients infected in total since the beginning of the emergency and 3,963 total deaths so far recorded among guests of the same facilities. Until today, 7,117 health workers were infected in the same nursing homes and 11 died.

The city of Toronto has recorded, since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 168,880 positives today, with an increase of 110 cases compared to Sunday. In the city of Vaughan, the total number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 was 21,714 today, with 2 more new infections than in the previous 24 hours. 283 deaths, with no more new deaths recorded today.

In Woodbridge today there were 9,305 total cases of positivity since the Covid-19 pandemic started, 6,712 in Maple, 7,461 in Richmond Hill and 12,502 in Markham.

In the Peel Region today there were 110,800 coronavirus positives, 55 more than the last survey and 774 total victims, with no more deaths than on the last bulletin. There were 109,446 healings recorded in total, while 3,074 people were hospitalized.

In Mississauga, the total number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus was 40,057 today, 15 more than last Sunday. Also in Mississauga were today 439 victims so far, with no more deaths recorded, while there were 39,357 people recovered from Covid-19 and 1,466 people so far hospitalized due to the coronavirus.

In Brampton, the total number of people positive for Covid-19 was today 66,028 with 36 new cases of contagion more than on Sunday. 314 confirmed deaths, with no more victims since the last bulletin, while 65,416 were found to be healed today.

In Ottawa, 27,449 people were infected today, with 23 more new positives compared to the last survey, while 585 people died, with no more new deaths recorded since the last bulletin. The healed in the capital today were a total of 26,516.

In Quebec today there were 123 new registered cases, for a total of 373,112 infected, with one more additional death, per 11.173 total victims.
