EDMONTON – Une controverse s’intensifie en Alberta autour du référendum séparatiste, après qu’une juge a invalidé la pétition du mouvement indépendantiste. La juge Shaina Leonard a estimé que la pétition n’aurait jamais dû être autorisée, le gouvernement provincial n’ayant pas respecté son obligation de consultation des Premières Nations et une éventuelle sécession de l’Alberta violant les droits issus des traités.
