NACI suspends AstraZeneca vaccine for people under 55

Toronto, March 30: Yesterday, Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization, in short, NACI has suspended the vaccination of AstraZeneca because of concerns over safety and advised the provinces, which most of the provinces agreed to follow. The reason for this is the issue of blood clots in the bodies of women in European countries. Although, 300,000 doses of the vaccine have already been administered in Canada and no blood clots have been reported anywhere, not even in the case of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines with mRNA properties. টরন্টো, মার্চ ৩০: গতকাল কানাডার ন্যাশনাল অ্যাডভাইজরি কমিটি অন ইম্যুনাইজেশন, সংক্ষেপে ‘এনএসিআই’ প্রদেশগুলোকে নিরাপদজনিত উদ্বিগ্নতা দেখা দেয়ায় অ্যাস্ট্রাজেনেকার টিকাদান স্থগিত করার সুপারিশ করেছে এবং ফলশ্রুতিতে অধিকাংশ প্রদেশ তা অনুসরণে সম্মত হয়েছে। এতে কারণ হিসেবে ইউরোপের দেশগুলোতে মূলত মহিলাদের দেহে রক্ত জমাট বাঁধার বিষয়কে উল্লেখ করেছে। যদিও ইতিমধ্যে কানাডায় এই টিকার ৩ লাখ ডোজ দেয়া সম্পন্ন হয়েছে এবং কোথাও কোনো রক্ত জমাট বাঁধার ঘটনা ঘটেনি, এমনকী ‘এমআরএনএ’ বৈশিষ্ট্যের ফাইজার ও মর্ডানার টিকার ক্ষেত্রেও তা ঘটেনি। Continue reading→
