TORONTO – With the threats of tariffs from the incoming U.S. administration, the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, yesterday launched the Council on Canada-U.S. Relations.
Comprised of leaders in business, innovation, and policy, the members of the Council will use their sectoral expertise to support the Prime Minister and Cabinet at this important time in the Canada-U.S. relationship.
Among the members of the Council is Flavio Volpe: president of APMA – the Association of Automotive Component Manufaturers – , he is internationally recognized as a leader in the Canadian automotive industry and is also a member of the Order of Canada.
Flavio Volpe (in the pic above) is the only Italian-Canadian present on the Council on Canada-U.S. Relations established by the Prime Minister. The other members are: Jean Charest, Rachel Notley, Stephen McNeil, David MacNaughton, Steve Verheul, Arlene Dickinson, Linda Hasenfratz, Lana Payne, Jody Thomas, Toro di Tabatha, Shahrzad Rafati, Hassan Yussuff, Sala Wes, Martin Caron, Brian Topp, Tim Gitzel and Ambassador Kirsten Hillman.
