In Ontario 209 new infected and 6 more deaths

TORONTO – June 29, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,414,594 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 817 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 26,267 total deaths, 37 more than Monday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,380,733. Ontario today reached 544,713 overall positives, an increase of 209 new cases compared to Monday. Meanwhile, the total number of victims in Ontario has risen to 9,154 with 6 more deaths than the previous day. The number of recovered people in the province rose to 533,150 or 371 more than the previous 24 hours. There are 143,381 cases so far registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,315 of the South African variant, 4,439 of the Brazilian variant and 1.704 of the Indian variant.

today there were 297 people still in hospital, 276 of them in intensive care and 185 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing. There are 5 retirement and long-term homes that continue to record cases of Covid-19. Today there were 15,386 elderly patients infected in total since the beginning of the emergency and 3,970 total deaths so far recorded among guests of the same facilities. In the city of Vaughan, the total number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 was 21,778 today, with no more new infections than in the previous 24 hours. 300 deaths, with 2 more new deaths recorded today.

In Woodbridge today there were 9,354 total cases of positivity since the Covid-19 pandemic started, 6,755 in Maple, 7,494 in Richmond Hill and 12,546 in Markham.

In the Peel Region today there were 111,312 coronavirus positives, 10 more than the last survey and 813 total victims, with no more deaths than on the last bulletin. There were 110,319 healings recorded in total, while 3,207 people were hospitalized.

In Mississauga, the total number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus was 40,350 today, 7 more than last Monday. Also in Mississauga were today 450 victims so far, with no more deaths recorded, while there were 39,812 people recovered from Covid-19.

In Brampton, the total number of people positive for Covid-19 was today 66,316 with 7 new cases of contagion more than on Monday. 341 confirmed deaths, with no more victims since the last bulletin, while 65,887 were found to be healed today.

In Hamilton the total number of positives today was 21,257 with 9 new cases of contagion more than in the last testing cycle, while the number of victims so far ascertained was 399, with no more new deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

In Ottawa, 27,660 people were infected today, with no more new positives compared to the last survey, while 591 people died, with no more new deaths recorded since the last bulletin. The healed in the capital today were a total of 26,983.

In Quebec today there were 71 new registered cases, for a total of 374,731 infected, with 4 more additional deaths, per 11.207 total victims.
