Ontario today reached 539,683 overall positives, an increase of 530 new cases compared to Saturday. The total number of victims in Ontario has meanwhile risen to 8,957, with 7 more deaths than the previous day. The number of recovered people in the province rose to 525,125 or 932 more than the previous 24 hours. There are 139,482 cases so far registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,137 of the South African variant and 4,133 of the Brazilian variant.
today there were 501 people still in hospital, 426 of them in intensive care and 273 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing. There are 14 retirement and long-term homes that continue to record cases of Covid-19. today there were 15,326 elderly patients infected in total since the beginning of the emergency and 3,963 total deaths so far recorded among guests of the same facilities. Until today, 7,117 health workers were infected in the same nursing homes and 11 died.
The city of Toronto has recorded, since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 168,816 positives today, with an increase of 102 cases compared to Saturday. The York Region reached 52,358 total infections today, with 24 more positives than on Saturday and 708 victims since the start of the pandemic, with 3 more deaths than the previous day. today, 51,463 people were recovered.
In the city of Vaughan, the total number of people tested positive for Covid-19 was 21,714 today, with 8 more new infections than in the previous 24 hours. 283 deaths, with 3 more new deaths recorded today.
In Woodbridge today there were 9,304 total cases of positivity since the Covid-19 pandemic started, 6,711 in Maple, 7,459 in Richmond Hill and 12,500 in Markham.
In the Peel Region today there were 110,745 coronavirus positives, 64 more than the last survey and 774 total victims, with one more death than on the last bulletin. There were 109,329 healings recorded in total, while 3,070 people were hospitalized.
In Mississauga, the total number of people who tested positive for the coronavirus was 40,042 today, 29 more than last Saturday. Also in Mississauga were today 439 victims so far, with no more deaths recorded, while there were 39,302 people recovered from Covid-19 and 1,464 people so far hospitalized due to the coronavirus.
In Brampton the total number of people positive for Covid-19 was today 65,992 with 38 new cases of contagion more than on Saturday. 314 confirmed deaths, with one more victim since the last bulletin, while 65,354 were found to be healed today.
In Caledon, there were 4,420 registered infections today, with no more case than on Saturday, while 4,372 had recovered and 18 victims overall, with no more deaths confirmed.
In Hamilton the total number of positives today was 21,032 with 19 new cases of contagion more than in the last testing cycle, while the number of victims so far ascertained was 396, with no more new deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.
In Ottawa, 27,426 people were infected today, with 34 more new positives compared to the last survey, while 585 people died, with one more new death recorded since the last bulletin. The healed in the capital today were a total of 26,491.
In Quebec today there were 151 new registered cases, for a total of 372,989 infected, with 2 more additional deaths, per 11.172 total victims.
