Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. TORONTO – The attention of the world of science is now entirely focused on hospitalizations and deaths. Counting infections from Covid-19 has become impossible, both due to the consequences of the limitations on access to molecular tests (now reserved for the “risk” categories, at least in Canada), and due to the fact that the vast majority of cases are asymptomatic: the virus circulates and, fact, we no longer know where, how, when and how much. →
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 29.4 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on January 16, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 117,452 vaccine doses on Saturday, down from 157,357 doses the day prior.
