Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of November 20, 2021, at 6:00 pm EST.

On Saturday, health officials in the UK logged 40,941 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.8 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 82.1% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 150 Covid-related deaths for a total of 143,866 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Covid-19: superati i 700 casi in Ontario, altri 5 morti

TORONTO – Nuova impennata dei contagi in Ontario che ieri ha registrato più di 700 nuove infezioni da Covid-19, il più alto numero di casi giornaliero registrato nella provincia in quasi due mesi. I funzionari sanitari provinciali hanno infatti rilevato 711 nuovi casi, rispetto ai 512 di mercoledì ed ai 642 di una settimana fa. On Thursday, health officials in Germany logged 64,164 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 5.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 87.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 261 Covid-related deaths for a total of 99,169 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Pediatric vaccine, the wait is over

TORONTO – The long wait is over. Health Canada is expected to announce tomorrow that it has approved the Pfizer vaccine against Covid-19 for use in children between the ages of five and 11. This is the news leaked, and reported by the Toronto Star: various sources, who do not have permission to disclose the information, have confirmed the imminence of the approval. 

Covid-19: over 700 cases in Ontario, another 5 deaths

TORONTO – New surge in infections in Ontario: today were recorded more than 700 new infections from Covid-19, the highest daily number of cases recorded in the province in almost two months. Provincial health officials have in fact detected 711 new cases, up from 512 on Wednesday and 642 a week ago. It is the highest daily tally reported since last September 24, when 727 new ones were confirmed.

On Wednesday, health officials in Russia logged 36,626 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.1 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 85.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 1,247 Covid-related deaths for a total of 259,084 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Covid: 12 dead in Ontario, one was under 20 years old
