Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. The curve of Covid-19 infections in Ontario’s public schools continues to show a general upward trend. Today, in fact, 245 cases were reported representing the highest total since the beginning of October. →
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 22.7 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. According to data last updated on November 16, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 13,146 vaccine doses on Monday, up from 7,251 doses the day prior.
TORONTO – New decline in infections in Ontario which today recorded 481 Covid-19 infections (and 1 death) against 552 on Monday, 666 on Sunday, 661 on Saturday and 598 on Friday. After the surge of the weekend, therefore, cases return to decline even if attention remains high, especially on the front of hospitalizations that are increasing in a worrying way. TORONTO – Un centinaio di casi in meno. Rassicura un po’ il dato di ieri dei contagi in Ontario: 552 nuove infezioni da Covid-19, in calo rispetto alle inquietanti 666 di domenica ma comunque in aumento rispetto alle 480 di una settimana fa. E, in ogni caso, il totale di ieri rappresenta il numero di casi più alto dallo scorso 27 settembre quando erano state segnalate 613 nuove infezioni. Non solo: i casi attivi si sfiorano quota 5mila. La media mobile di sette giorni di nuovi casi è ora di 573 (lunedì scorso era 476), mentre – con 21.475 test elaborati nelle ultime 24 ore – il tasso di positività è del 2,2% (domenica era del 2,7%)…

On Monday, health officials in the UK logged 39,705 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.6 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 81.9% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 47 Covid-related deaths for a total of 142,945 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
TORONTO – Covid-19 has started to run again. The number of active cases of Covid-19 associated with Ontario’s public schools has reached 1,006 for the first time since October 29. Since the beginning of the school year, the infections are a total of 5,626. On Sunday, health officials in Poland logged 14,448 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 3.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 87.5% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 46 Covid-related deaths for a total of 78,867 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.
TORONTO – The deadline for Ontario’s long-term care homes was set for tomorrow to be fully immunized against Covid-19 but the government has decided to postpone it until December 13. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Minister of Long Term Care Rod Phillips Vanessa De Matteis: by today, however, the staff of these houses must receive at least the first dose of the vaccine. →
