Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
WINDSOR – A new hospital for Windsor-Essex: the Ontario government invests $ 9.8 million to support the planning of a state-of-the-art acute care facility in Windsor and Essex County and, once completed, the new hospital will add regional beds and services to ensure resident families have access to high-quality care when and where they need it. →

EDMONTON – 652 new cases of Covid-19 in Alberta and, above all, 38 deaths which bring the total number of victims, in the province, from the beginning of the pandemic to 2,901. These are the data from Wednesday, which for the number of deaths represent a negative record: the figure in fact equals that recorded on 12 January for the majority of deaths reported in a single day. →

REGINA – As already happened in Alberta, also in Saskatchewan the number of Covid-19 patients in the intensive care units has exceeded the normal intensive care capacity of the province. According to the province, in fact, on Tuesday there were 80 patients with the virus in intensive care, one more than the basic capacity which is 79. →
